1. Introduction

ObjectCrafts ("we", "our", "us") operates Scan PRO AI, a mobile document scanning application available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Scan PRO AI. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

2. Our Core Privacy Commitment

Your documents stay yours. Scan PRO AI is built so that your document content never reaches our servers:

  • Your scanned documents are never uploaded to our servers and are never sold or transferred to any third party.
  • All document processing — including scanning, image enhancement, perspective correction, filtering, and OCR text extraction — happens entirely on your device.
  • If you choose to enable cloud backup (Pro feature), your documents are stored in your own Google Drive account, which only you control.
  • We have no ability to access your Google Drive files, scanned documents, or any content you create within the app.

This commitment covers your document content. Separately, the app handles a limited amount of account, subscription, and analytics data, which is described in full below.

3. Information We Collect

  • Scanned documents, images, or PDFs
  • Content of your documents or any text extracted via OCR
  • Contents of your Google Drive
  • Your contacts, messages, or call logs
  • Your precise or GPS location — the app never requests location permission
  • Your digital signatures, stamps, or watermarks
  • Your payment card or bank details

Account Information

Signing in is optional. Scanning, PDF export, and sharing all work without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or with Apple, we receive:

  • Your email address and display name. We use these to identify your trial and subscription entitlements across your devices and reinstalls, to restore purchases you have already made, and to respond to you if you contact support.

Your email address and display name are stored on your device and with RevenueCat, Inc., the subscription-management provider that processes this data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell this information and we do not use it for advertising.

If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, we receive only Apple's private relay address, never your real one.

Subscription Records

If you purchase Scan PRO AI Pro, we receive the product purchased, purchase and renewal dates, trial status, and whether your subscription is active. Payment itself is handled entirely by Google Play or Apple — we never receive or store your payment details.

Usage and Diagnostic Data

  • Device information: Device model, operating system version, and app version — used to ensure compatibility and optimize performance across devices.
  • Crash data: Anonymized technical data to help us fix bugs. These logs never contain document content or images.
  • In-app events: Actions such as app launches, screen views, scans completed, paywall views, and subscription events. Collected through Google Firebase Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) App Events SDK.
  • Approximate location: Our analytics providers derive a coarse, country- or city-level location from your device's masked IP address, so that we can see roughly where our users are. We never collect your precise or GPS location, and the app does not request location permission.

This data is tied to a randomly generated app identifier and to your advertising identifier, not to your name or email address.

Advertising Identifier

Your device's advertising identifier is collected by Firebase Analytics and the Meta App Events SDK and shared with Google and Meta. We use this solely to measure which of our advertising campaigns bring new users to the app and to improve the targeting of those campaigns. You can reset or delete this identifier at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). On iOS we collect it only if you grant tracking permission.

No document content is ever included in advertising or analytics data.

Bug Reports You Send Us

If you use the in-app "Report a Bug" feature, the app prepares an email to us containing your app version, device information, recent error logs, your subscription status, your email address if you are signed in, and a screenshot of the screen you were on. Nothing is sent until you review it and tap send in your own email app. If the screen showed a document, that document will appear in the screenshot — please remove the attachment before sending if you do not want to share it.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services. Each receives only what it needs for the purpose described:

  • RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription and entitlement management. Receives your email address, display name, and purchase records. Acts as our service provider and processes this data only on our instructions. Privacy Policy

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — advertising measurement and campaign optimization. Receives your advertising identifier and in-app event data. Privacy Policy

No third party receives your scanned document content, except Google Drive when you choose to enable cloud backup into your own account.

5. Google Drive Integration

Scan PRO AI Pro offers optional cloud backup to Google Drive. When you enable this feature:

  • Authentication is handled through OAuth 2.0 — we never see or store your Google password.
  • The app uses Drive's application data folder, a private area that only Scan PRO AI can access. It cannot read the rest of your Drive.
  • Documents travel directly from your device to your Google Drive — they never pass through our servers.
  • You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. Device Permissions

Scan PRO AI requests the following device permissions, each serving a specific core function:

  • Camera: Required for scanning documents. Used only when you actively choose to scan.
  • Photos: Used only to import images you select and to save documents you export. On modern Android and iOS versions the app uses the system photo picker, so it receives only the specific images you choose and has no access to the rest of your library.

These permissions are used exclusively for their stated purposes. We do not use your camera or photo library for surveillance, tracking, or any purpose beyond the app's core scanning functionality.

7. Advertising

Scan PRO AI does not display any advertisements. There are no ad banners, interstitials, or sponsored content anywhere in the app.

We do, however, advertise the app itself on Google and Meta. To understand which campaigns work, the app includes measurement SDKs from those providers, which collect your advertising identifier and in-app event data as described in Section 3. This is advertising measurement, not advertising display.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only as described in this policy:

  • With RevenueCat, as our service provider, to manage your subscription.
  • With Google and Meta, your advertising identifier and in-app event data, for advertising measurement and campaign optimization.
  • With Google Drive, your documents, only when you enable cloud backup, and only into your own account.
  • Where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

9. Data Security

Your documents remain on your device and, optionally, in your own Google Drive, so the security of your document data is primarily protected by your device's own security measures. Account credentials stored by the app are held in the operating system's encrypted secure storage, and all data transmitted to our providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We recommend:

  • Keeping your device's operating system updated
  • Using a strong screen lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition)
  • Enabling two-factor authentication on your Google or Apple account

10. Children's Privacy

Scan PRO AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Data Retention

  • Documents: We retain no copies of your scanned documents whatsoever. They exist only on your device and in your Google Drive, if backup is enabled.
  • Account data: Your email address and display name are retained for as long as your account exists, and are deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
  • Subscription records: Retained for as long as needed to honour your entitlements, and afterwards as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Analytics and crash data: Retained on our analytics providers' standard retention schedules and then automatically deleted.

12. Account Deletion

You can delete your Scan PRO AI account and the data associated with it at any time. Full instructions, including exactly what is and is not deleted, are on our Delete Your Account page.

In summary: your account record, including your email address and display name, is erased within 30 days of your request, along with any documents you backed up to Google Drive. Documents stored on your own device are not touched, because we never had them.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active paid subscription, which is held by Google Play or Apple rather than by us. Please cancel it separately to stop being billed.

13. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Use the app without an account. Scanning, PDF export, and sharing require no sign-in.
  • Delete your account and associated data — see Delete Your Account.
  • Revoke Google Drive access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings, which breaks the link between your device and past advertising measurement data.
  • Request access to any data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing us. We respond within 30 days.
  • Uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored app data.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. 14. International Users

Scan PRO AI is available worldwide. Your documents never leave your device or your personal Google Drive. The limited account, subscription, and analytics data described above is processed by our providers on infrastructure located in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Scan PRO AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
