1. Introduction

ObjectCrafts ("we", "our", "us") operates Scan PRO AI, a mobile document scanning application available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Scan PRO AI. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

2. Our Core Privacy Commitment

Scan PRO AI is built on a zero-knowledge architecture. This means:

  • Your scanned documents are never uploaded to our servers and are never transferred to any third party.
  • All document processing — including scanning, image enhancement, perspective correction, filtering, and OCR text extraction — happens entirely on your device.
  • If you choose to enable cloud backup (Pro feature), your documents are stored in your own Google Drive account, which only you control.
  • We have no ability to access your Google Drive files, scanned documents, or any content you create within the app.

3. Information We Collect

  • Scanned documents, images, or PDFs
  • Content of your documents or any text extracted via OCR
  • Contents of your Google Drive
  • Your contacts, messages, or call logs
  • Your precise location data
  • Your digital signatures, stamps, or watermarks

Information We May Collect

  • Device information: Device model, operating system version, and app version — used solely to ensure compatibility and optimize performance across different devices.
  • Anonymous crash logs: If the app crashes, we may receive anonymized technical data to help us fix bugs. These logs never contain document content, images, or personal information.
  • Subscription records: If you purchase Scan PRO AI Pro, transaction records are managed entirely by Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but not your payment details.
  • Aggregated usage statistics: Anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used (e.g., which filters are most popular) to improve the app experience. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

4. Google Drive Integration

Scan PRO AI Pro offers optional cloud backup to Google Drive. When you enable this feature:

  • Authentication is handled through OAuth 2.0 — we never see or store your Google password.
  • The app requests only the minimum permissions needed to create and manage a dedicated Scan PRO AI folder in your Drive.
  • Documents travel directly from your device to your Google Drive — they never pass through our servers.
  • You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.

5. Device Permissions

Scan PRO AI requests the following device permissions, each serving a specific core function:

  • Camera: Required for scanning documents. Used only when you actively choose to scan.
  • Storage: Required for saving scanned documents and importing photos from your gallery.

These permissions are used exclusively for their stated purposes. We do not use your camera or storage for surveillance, tracking, or any purpose beyond the app's core scanning functionality.

6. Advertising

Scan PRO AI does not display any advertisements. We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, ad networks, or tracking pixels into the app.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with any third party. The only third-party integration is Google Drive (user-initiated and optional), which is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Data Security

Since your documents remain on your device (and optionally in your own Google Drive), the security of your data is primarily protected by your device's own security measures. We recommend:

  • Keeping your device's operating system updated
  • Using a strong screen lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition)
  • Enabling two-factor authentication on your Google account if using Drive backup

9. Children's Privacy

Scan PRO AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Data Retention

  • Documents: We retain no copies of your scanned documents whatsoever. They exist only on your device and in your Google Drive (if backup is enabled).
  • Analytics & crash data: Anonymized analytics and crash logs are retained for a minimal period necessary to improve app stability and are then permanently deleted.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored app data.
  • Revoke Google Drive access through your Google Account settings at any time.
  • Request information about any data we may hold by contacting us at the email below.
  • Request deletion of any data associated with your use of the app.

12. International Users

Scan PRO AI is available worldwide. Since we employ a zero-knowledge architecture and process no document data on our servers, minimal data processing occurs where our infrastructure operates. Your documents never leave your device or your personal Google Drive.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Scan PRO AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
