1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Scan PRO AI ("the App"), a mobile document scanning application developed and operated by ObjectCrafts ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Scan PRO AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.

2. Definitions

  • "App" refers to the Scan PRO AI mobile application, available on Google Play.
  • "User" / "You" refers to any individual who downloads, installs, or uses the App.
  • "Service" refers to all features and functionality provided by the App, including document scanning, image enhancement, OCR, annotations, PDF export, and cloud backup.
  • "Pro" refers to the paid subscription tier offering additional features such as digital signatures, stamps, watermarks, redaction, password-protected PDFs, and Google Drive backup.

3. License Grant

ObjectCrafts grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Scan PRO AI on your personal device for its intended purpose of scanning, processing, annotating, and exporting documents. This license does not grant you any rights to the App's source code, algorithms, or proprietary technology.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Scan PRO AI only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Use the App to scan, reproduce, or distribute copyrighted material without authorization.
  • Use the App to create fraudulent, forged, or misleading documents.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App.
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass any subscription restrictions or payment mechanisms.

5. User Content & Data Ownership

All documents, images, PDFs, signatures, and other content you create using Scan PRO AI remain entirely your property. ObjectCrafts claims no ownership, license, or rights over your content. We do not access, view, collect, or store your documents — they exist only on your device and, if you choose, in your personal Google Drive account.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Free Tier: Core scanning, filtering, PDF export, OCR, and multi-page features are available at no cost, indefinitely.
  • Pro Trial: New users who create an account receive a 20-day free trial of all Pro features.
  • Pro Subscription: After the trial period, continued access to Pro features requires an active subscription purchased through Google Play.
  • Billing: All payments are processed by Google Play. Subscription terms, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Google Play's terms of service.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled through Google Play in accordance with their refund policies.

7. Google Drive Integration

If you enable Google Drive backup (Pro feature), you authorize Scan PRO AI to create and manage a dedicated folder in your Google Drive for storing backed-up documents. This integration uses OAuth 2.0 authentication and requires minimal permissions. You may revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings. ObjectCrafts has no access to your Google Drive contents.

8. Intellectual Property

Scan PRO AI, including its AI-powered document detection algorithms, perspective correction engine, OCR technology, user interface, design, graphics, and all related intellectual property, is owned by ObjectCrafts and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited license granted in Section 3.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Scan PRO AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy of OCR text extraction results
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all devices or operating system versions

While we strive for high-quality scanning and OCR results, we do not guarantee perfect accuracy. Users should verify critical documents and extracted text before relying on them for important purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ObjectCrafts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the App
  • Loss of data, documents, or content
  • Inaccuracies in OCR text extraction
  • Unauthorized access to your device or Google Drive (outside our control)
  • Any third-party actions or services, including Google Play or Google Drive

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ObjectCrafts harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

  • By You: You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Active subscriptions should be cancelled through Google Play to prevent further billing.
  • By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. In such cases, no refund will be issued for unused subscription periods.

13. Third-Party Services

Scan PRO AI integrates with third-party services including Google Play (for distribution and payments) and Google Drive (for optional backup). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. ObjectCrafts is not responsible for the practices or availability of any third-party service.

14. Changes to These Terms

ObjectCrafts reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When material changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may notify users through the App. Continued use of Scan PRO AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you should discontinue use and uninstall the App.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Scan PRO AI shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration or resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
